These special extended length (1.545" extension) chokes are designed for very tight patterning, while 18 gas ports provide an accuracy enhancing
muzzlebrake - compensator action.
The bore geometry is setup such that the wad is slowed as it exits through the tube, providing separation from
the shot column, promoting tighter shot dispersion patterns, by eliminating the wad influence on the pattern.
The choke has a long
parallel section (1.545") to stabilize the shot column during constriction, and to help separate the wad from the shot column.
Further
enhancing accuracy is the extremely tight concentricity held between all diameters and threads on the tube.
All choke tubes are produced with a smooth internal taper, and smooth parallel section.

I found the following at the range last night (finally got
some time to catch up on fun stuff):
0.678 Choke for American Arms o/u 10ga, Remington hevishot #5's @40
yards resulted in 25 pellets in 3" circle & 90% @ 20" circle
0.678 for main choke, and the 0.700 or more open 2nd barrel looks like
a good combo.
I am happy to find a choke size that works with hevi shot 5's, should
really knock them long beards down!

This model choke tube is intended for the Turkey Hunter, but features a range of constrictions from .6700" through .7820", and special sizes.

These 6 slots vent gas FAST
to help reduce recoil and muzzle jump. An added benefit of the 6 axial ports is the dramatic effect they have on wad/cup rotation.
Wad/cup rotation, and resulting centrifugal force on the shot column, is one of the leading causes of pattern inconsistency.
It's like your washing machine spinning the water out of your clothes. If your wad/cup is spinning, at all, you can imagine what is happening
to the shot pattern! This choke actively eliminates rotation by engaging the wad\cup
similar to rifling grooves engaging a projectile. But, instead of generating rotation, they eliminate the natural tendency of the wad/cup
to rotate, by stabilizing it throughout the parallel section of the choke tube.
